What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who
- enjoys being with children and builds warm, positive relationships with them
- is calm, caring and consistent, especially when things get busy
- is happy to join in with play and help children resolve small disagreements fairly
- works well as part of a team and communicates clearly
- is reliable, punctual and takes children’s safety seriously
No previous experience in a school is needed. Full training is provided, including safeguarding, first aid and allergy awareness.

Lunchtime matters. It is where children eat well, make friends, play, and learn how to get along with one another. As a Midday Meals Supervisor, you will be part of a friendly lunchtime team making sure every child has a safe, happy and enjoyable lunch.
You will support children in the dining hall, encouraging good manners and healthy eating, and in the playground, where we follow the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) approach — giving children the space, time and freedom to play creatively. On wet days you will support children in their classrooms with calm, purposeful activities.

The successful applicant will be required to complete pre-appointment vetting checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, including an enhanced DBS check with barred list check, satisfactory references and proof of the right to work in the UK. Shortlisted candidates should be aware that online searches will be carried out as part of our due diligence.
