Midday Supervisor (1-year fixed term until July 2026) job summary
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working under guidance to:
Supervising children between the close of morning school session and the start of the afternoon session.
Supervising children on their way to and from the Dining Hall and while waiting to enter the hall.
Supervising children in the dining hall and helping them with their mid-day meal. Providing support with eating where necessary.
Reporting any unruly behaviour.
Ensuring that all pupils line up in an orderly manner at the end of dinner time break.
Leaving the Dining Hall in a tidy condition
Leading and supervising mini games with the children
Carrying out any other instructions given by the Headteacher which are reasonably within the duties of the post.
Establish and promote productive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
Provide comfort and immediate care in case of minor accidents, including support with intimate care where a plan is in place in accordance to our policy. Report serious incidents to the appropriate person for action administering first-aid if qualified to do so.
Contribute towards the overall ethos, aims and work of the school.
