Midday Supervisor Assistant job summary

MSAs form a very important part of the continuum of children’s learning. It is essential that children have a positive experience at lunchtime. We are part of the OPAL programme which aims to improve the quality of children’s playtimes by making better use of outdoor spaces and encouraging creative, child-led play. The role of an MSA is to ensure that children have access to all of these opportunities so that they return to the classroom refreshed and energised, ready to learn for the remainder of the day. They must not return to the classroom feeling upset, dejected, frustrated or angry as this creates a huge barrier for their learning. MSAs are crucial to the delivery of these opportunities and are not just supervisors!

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitmet. The successful applicant will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Serivce.
