What the school offers its staff

At Wyvern Academy, we specialise in supporting children and young people aged 2 to 19 years with learning difficulties, including autism, physical and sensory disabilities and healthcare needs

We’re all about creating a place where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn – whether it’s in the classroom or at lunch! We believe that lunchtimes should be a moment for children to recharge and enjoy good food with their friends.

That’s why we need you – our next Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our team and help us keep things running smoothly while ensuring our children enjoy a safe and hygienic environment. Think of it as your chance to make a real difference in our school while keeping everything working like clockwork.

You’ll be the glue that holds everything together, the calm in the storm, the person who can help our pupils navigate the lunchtime period.

Why Join Us?

  • The chance to make a difference in the lives of young people, one small victory at a time.
  • It’s a job with heart – We’re not just about education in our small classes, we’re about building confidence, spreading joy, and creating meaningful connections that will stay with you for life.
  • We’re an amazing team who are all in it together and we’ve got your back during the good, the bad, and the “Did that really just happen?” moments.
  • Comprehensive support, induction and training package; as well as professional development opportunities because we’re all about helping you grow, both as a person and in your ability to juggle six things at once!
