Midday Supervisor job summary

We are seeking a Midday Supervisor to join our team to assist with the smooth running of the Hall during lunchtimes and ensure the safety and care of our pupils in the playground.

Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

We welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds and stages of their career.

We are looking for someone who:

-is able to build positive relationships with pupils

-can adapt their communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs

-can support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate

-promotes high standards of behaviour, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy and guidelines on physical intervention

-can work collaboratively with staff

-will work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and child protection policies

-will promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
