Midday Supervisor job summary
As a Midday Supervisor, you will work within a fantastic team who are responsible for creating a safe, fun, and stimulating play environment for children during their lunch break.
Your main duties will include:
- Supervising children during lunch and playtime activities.
- Organising and facilitating various games and activities to encourage positive interaction and engagement.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, managing any conflicts or issues that arise by working and supporting the children to resolve these themselves wherever possible.
- Promoting inclusive play, ensuring all children are included and engaged.
- Assisting with minor first aid when necessary.
- Helping to set up and tidy up play areas before and after lunchtime.
We are looking for a practitioner who has:
- Experience working with children.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and personal skills.
- The ability to manage groups of children effectively and safely.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for organising activities and games.
- A basic understanding of child safeguarding and safety procedures.
- A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- First aid certification is a plus but we will provide training.
