Midday Supervisor job summary

Roman Hill Primary School is seeking a passionate and committed Midday Supervisor to join our friendly and welcoming school on a part time basis, working 10 hours per week, 38 weeks of the year (term time only). The successful applicant will play an important role in ensuring the children at Roman Hill Primary School have a happy and safe lunchtime.

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

  • To effectively supervise pupils during the lunch period, providing a continuous presence.
  • To ensure the safety, welfare and conduct of pupils in accordance with school policy.
  • To raise the social achievements of pupils by ensuring lunchtimes are an enjoyable and safe experience for all the children

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to form positive relationships with children and staff
  • have high expectations of behaviour, effort and attitude
  • have patience, empathy and the ability to think on your feet
  • demonstrate ability to exert authority and give directions in a confident manner
