Midday Supervisor job summary

Loughton School is seeking reliable and caring Midday Supervisors to join our supportive team. This roles are essential in helping us maintain a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for our pupils during the lunchtime period.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground and around the school grounds

• Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring pupil safety at all times

• Supporting the wellbeing of all children during the lunch break

• Organising engaging lunchtime activities

• Reporting any concerns to senior staff

The successful candidate will:

• Be confident and enthusiastic when working with children aged 7–11

• Have experience working with or caring for children (desirable)

• Be able to follow school policies and procedures

• Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team

• Have a commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare

You may occasionally be asked to attend meetings or training outside of your regular hours, for which you will be paid.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
