The Local Governing Body of Ellenborough Academy invite applications from appropriately qualified teachers for this full-time post, teaching an Early Year class combined of Pre-School, Nursery and Reception and ideally the opportunity to lead Science in the school. The post is offered from the start of the Spring term. The post is offered on a one-year fixed term contract due to maternity leave.

We are looking for:

An excellent primary classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum, assessment and pedagogy.

Someone who will work collaboratively with other members of staff, be flexible, well organised and enthusiastic and build positive relationships with pupils and their parents.

Someone who is committed to get the best out of every child and to providing an imaginative and exciting curriculum.

Someone who will continue to develop our strong personal development offer.

The successful candidate will:

have experience of working within EYFS and ideally be ready to lead Science in our school.

be able to plan and deliver lessons that meet children’s individual needs and capture their interests in all areas of the EYFS curriculum

have ambitious expectations of pupils’ work and behaviour, engendering respect through positive relationships and consistency

be a committed team member who will play an active part in the life of the school, engage positively with families and lead by example

know how to keep our children protected, safe and provide an environment where they can thrive.
