Lift Montgomery Primary is looking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to support the safety, well-being, and positive behaviour of pupils during lunchtime.
Your New School
Lift Montgomery Primary is an Ofsted-rated Outstanding school led by a highly experienced and dedicated leadership team, with Jasmine Woodward as Executive Principal and Fozia Nisar as Head of School. Both leaders have been with the school for over 10 years and have established a committed, enthusiastic team with a strong focus on high standards, teamwork, and pride in the school community.
This supportive and collaborative environment has contributed to the school being graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted, and we are proud of the inclusive and positive culture we have built for both staff and pupils.
Your New Role
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring that pupils have a safe, enjoyable and well-supervised lunchtime experience.
You will supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas, ensuring they follow school expectations and behave respectfully towards one another. You will support pupils' wellbeing during lunchtime, encouraging positive play and helping pupils develop important social skills such as turn-taking, playing games together, and listening during group activities.
This role requires someone who is flexible and able to support pupils across different lunchtime environments. This may include supervising pupils in the dining hall, supporting children during play on the playground, or helping with small group activities to encourage positive interaction and behaviour.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground
* Supporting pupils as they enter and exit the catering area safely
* Encouraging positive play and supporting the development of social skills such as turn-taking and group participation
* Promoting positive behaviour and respectful interactions between pupils
* Identifying and reporting any safety concerns or incidents
* Supporting the organisation and supervision of lunchtime activities and games
* Cleaning and clearing tables and benches after meals, and managing any spillages
* Liaising with teaching and pastoral staff regarding any concerns about pupil welfare
What You'll Need to Succeed
You will be someone who enjoys working with children and supporting their well-being during the school day. We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supervising or caring for children (for example, as a parent, carer, or in a school setting)
* Can engage positively with pupils and support the development of their social and play skills
* Can remain calm and positive in busy environments
* Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Is patient, reliable, and proactive
* Is flexible and willing to support across different lunchtime duties, including playground supervision and dining hall support
* Can work effectively as part of a team
Experience working in a school environment or supervising children during lunchtime is desirable but not essential.
A willingness to provide basic first aid (such as minor cuts, bumps, or accidents during lunchtime) would also be beneficial.
We offer you:
* Career development and training: Access a wide range of statutory and developmental training to boost your career.
* Generous benefits: From your pension plan to healthcare and financial support, we've got you covered.
* Lifestyle perks: Enjoy discounted gym memberships, travel deals

Our Curriculum
We believe that children learn best when their learning experiences are evocative, therefore we teach most of our subjects through a connected curriculum.
This works by delivering a different theme in each year group for each term throughout the year. The curriculum is planned so that as many learning experiences as possible are linked to this theme; this allows the children to see that their skills are all connected. During the children's learning we try to integrate as many real life experiences as possible that are related to the area they are studying.
Literacy, Numeracy and ICT underline our curriculum to ensure that the key skills children need for success, are fully learned before the children move on to secondary education. Therefore, our curriculum is skills based and children learn to apply these skills in every part of their learning.
