Midday Supervisor job summary

As Midday Manager, you will play a key role in managing lunchtime operations, coordinating staff and ensuring pupils are supported in line with their individual needs. You’ll work closely with the Head Teacher, teaching staff and other professionals to maintain a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and organise the team of Midday Supervisors to ensure effective lunchtime coverage.

  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, promoting safe and respectful behaviour.

  • Develop and implement activity, sport, and games schedules for pupils.

  • Respond to and report accidents and incidents in line with school policies.

  • Ensure staff are familiar with and adhere to school policies, including behaviour and safeguarding.

  • Liaise with professionals such as dieticians and physiotherapists to support pupils’ individual needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.

  • Ability to manage behaviour and respond calmly to incidents.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Flexibility to attend training and meetings outside normal hours when required.
