Midday Supervisor job summary

St Raphael the Archangel CMAT are looking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to join their lunchtime team at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. This is a permanent, part time role working 7.5 hours per week, from 11.45am - 1.15pm on a term time only basis (38 weeks per year).

As part of our friendly team, you will supervise children during lunchtime in the dining hall and on the playground. You’ll help children to enjoy their lunch, encourage good table manners, support positive play, and help to resolve any playground issues calmly and kindly. You will also support the children’s safety and wellbeing by administering basic first aid (training will be provided if needed).

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
  • Can work well as part of a team
  • Is patient, approachable and reliable
  • Is able to be proactive and manage behaviour positively
  • Will help uphold our Catholic ethos and commitment to inclusion and kindness

In return, we offer a warm and welcoming school community, supportive colleagues, and delightful children who love to play and chat at lunchtime!

As we strive to become an employer of choice, not only will you be joining a progressive multi-academy trust, you will also receive a competitive benefits package, which as well as salary includes:

  • Health & Wellbeing employee assistance programme
  • Family friendly policies
  • Access to an excellent pension scheme
  • Access to professional qualifications and training

Visits to our lovely school are warmly welcomed and encouraged—we’d love to show you what makes St Joseph’s so special. Please contact Mrs Markham on 01926 427552 or email admin@stjosephs-leam.straphaelcmat.co.uk to arrange a visit.

Some of our roles attract a high level of interest and for this reason we review applications as they are received, therefore on occasions this means roles may close earlier than advertised; so early applications are highly recommended.

We recognise that a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to achieving our core mission, therefore we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications. We are also committed to being an equal opportunities employer and will make reasonable adjustments as required for interview.
