Midday Supervisory Assistant job summary

We are looking for an active, enthusiastic person to join our team of lunch time supervisors who look after the children throughout the lunch break. Initially the hours will be 12.00 - 1.00, Tuesdays, Thursday & Fridays, plus casual cover as the need arises.

Your role will be to ensure that children are safe, happy and healthy during their lunchtimes. All our MDSA positions involve the supervision of children while they eat their lunch and afterwards while they are on the playground or playing in their classroom. There may also be some cleaning and setting up/setting down of dining furniture.

You must be organised, positive and able to build good relationships with both the children and your colleagues. Excellent communication skills, the ability to use your initiative and to work independently are important skills for this role.
