Are you a warm, energetic, and caring individual who enjoys working with young children? Do you want to play a vital role in making lunchtime a safe, fun, and happy part of the school day?
Heathwood Lower School is a thriving lower school looking for a dedicated Midday Supervisor to join our friendly lunch team. In this role, you will help our pupils aged 4 to 9 develop healthy eating habits, practice good manners, and engage in safe, active play.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise children in the dining hall, assisting them with opening packaging, using cutlery, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Lead and encourage playground games, ensuring all children are included, active, and safe.
- Manage pupil behaviour positively in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Attend to minor accidents and administer basic first aid (training will be provided).
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other supervisors to ensure a smooth transition between morning lessons and afternoon registration.

- A patient, kind, and approachable manner with young children.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A proactive attitude toward children's safety and well-being.
- Flexibility and a good sense of humour.
- Previous experience working with children is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
