What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an MDSA to help supervise our pupils at lunchtime in the dining hall and playground, organising playtime activities, carrying out minor first aid, and reporting any accidents as required. There may be some associated lunchtime duties to to clean and clear the hall at the end of lunchtime which involve a moderate level of physical activity.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children

  • Is able to communicate well with pupils and members of staff
  • Is reliable, shows integrity and understands confidentiality
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Is supportive of the school’s Catholic ethos
  • Has patience and understanding as well as a sense of humour
