We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA) to support our children. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in our bespoke Enhanced SEND Provision (ESP) for children with SEMH needs. The class is a small nurture unit which supports children who benefit from a higher ratio of staff. Children require a quiet space and an organised lunchtime routine with supervision and care during meal times and during outdoor play after eating. The successful MSA would be supported by other staff to make lunch times a success.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have experience of working with Early Years or Key Stage 1 children or in a role with transferable skills.
  • Have a passion for working with children with SEN
  • Be able to support SEN needs 
  • Be able to apply strategies as advised by the team supporting the child
  • Be able to support positive behaviour
  • Be able to communicate effectively to all members of the school team and collaborate well with others
  • Be flexible, calm and consistent keen to promote the best outcomes for children
  • Work proactively and use initiative

This post is initially a temporary contact until July 2026. Term time 12.20pm-1.30pm daily, Scale A £12.65 per hour, 6 hours and 15 minutes weekly.
