Do you want a job that is fulfilling? Do you love and value supporting young people? Do you believe in the opportunity for every child to have the best possible opportunity to learn? Are you patient, tenacious, optimistic and a great communicator? Then Ashby School could be the place for you!

We are seeking to appoint a mini bus driver to support the transportation of students between our Appropriate Provisions in the morning and at the end of the school day. You will be responsible for transporting students and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Our provisions support students who become disengaged with mainstream learning and aims to reignite their love and confidence of learning offering an academic and nurturing curriculum. We have facilities at Ibstock, Ivanhoe & Ashby Schools with movement primarily between Ibstock and the two Ashby based centres. We believe that offering this fresh start for students to have a positive experience, building positive relationships with adults who believe in them can be really powerful in re-engaging students.

We are also interested in candidates who would have some flexibility to support mainstream student’s transportation to specific school events such as sporting fixtures, careers opportunities or enrichment activities. This opportunity is offered at the same rates as a zero hours contract extension and would involve transportation primarily within Leicestershire and the adjacent county areas.

Closing Date

The closing date for completed applications is Friday 18th September 2026
