Minibus Driver job summary

We are looking for a reliable and responsible Minibus Driver to safely transport pupils and staff using the Academy minibus. The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring the health, safety, comfort and wellbeing of all passengers while providing a professional and dependable service.

The role includes carrying out routine vehicle checks, ensuring the minibus remains clean, safe and roadworthy, and reporting any defects, incidents or accidents. You will also be responsible for refuelling the vehicle as required and undertaking basic maintenance checks.

The successful candidate will be expected to follow all Academy health and safety procedures, comply with the Minibus Drivers' Operating Instructions, and maintain a professional appearance while representing the school. Flexibility is important, as the role may involve covering for absent colleagues and supporting with other associated duties as directed by the line manager.

A full UK driving licence is essential. Previous experience driving a minibus or transporting passengers is desirable, along with excellent reliability, punctuality and communication skills.
