Minibus Driver job summary

Kingdown School is looking to appoint a confident and reliable Driver to cover morning minibus transport for its students. This is a fantastic, part-time opportunity to join our dedicated team and help get pupils safely to school.

Contract: Fixed term (until 17th July 2026). Working Hours: Part-time (10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only, 38 weeks per year). Usual working hours will be 8am until 10am. Required: January 2026.

The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a full, clean driving licence and is prepared to drive a minibus;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff and pupils;
  • Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills;
  • Can prioritise and schedule effectively and efficiently;
  • Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
  • Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative;
  • Is aware of health and safety requirements;
  • Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
