Minibus Driver job summary
Pewsey Vale School is looking for a confident and reliable Driver to cover morning minibus transport for its students. This is a fantastic, part-time opportunity to join our dedicated team and help get pupils safely to school.
Contract: Fixed term (until 17th July 2026). Working Hours: Part-time (10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only, 38 weeks per year). Usual working hours will be 8am until 10am. Required: January 2026
Pewsey Vale is a small but thriving co-educational school, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 16 years. Located in the village of Pewsey, our school community works together to ensure that all students are supported to reach their full potential in both their academic and personal development. The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving role is desirable.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a full, clean driving licence and is prepared to drive a minibus;
- Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff and pupils;
- Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills;
- Can prioritise and schedule effectively and efficiently;
- Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
- Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative;
- Is aware of health and safety requirements;
- Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
