What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and nurturing teacher with a strong understanding of both the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum. The successful candidate will support children through the important transition from Reception into Year 1, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to achieving the very best outcomes
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching across Reception and Year 1
  • Understand how children learn and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Foster early literacy, numeracy, communication and social development through both play-based and structured learning opportunities
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and accelerate progress
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively and contribute positively to school life
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous professional development
  • Be excited to help shape and drive our continued school improvement journey

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning pedagogy
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
