Mobile Chef Manager job summary

We are looking for a reliable and flexible Mobile Chef Manager to join our team on a casual basis. Work will be offered on an ad-hoc, "as and when required" basis. You will be paid for the hours that you work on Kent Scheme E – 2026 which is £15.12 - £16.03 per hour (£29,167 - £30,934 full time equivalent).


As a Golden Thread Alliance Mobile Chef Manager, you will be an ambassador for great food, leading the kitchen team to provide an efficient food service to our pupils. The role will require an organised individual, able to run a busy kitchen, have use of their own vehicle, and are able to travel to sites in Dartford and Gravesham covering the trusts school kitchens as and when they are needed.


You will need excellent and proven culinary skills, be able to communicate effectively with staff and pupils, and have the drive and passion to lead the team in our goal of providing an excellent catering service that is accessible to all our pupils and staff. Reporting to the Trust Catering Manager, and liaising daily with Business Managers and Headteachers, you will be responsible for the day to day running of a school kitchen, cooking and serving fresh food and managing a dedicated catering team.
