Modern Foreign Languages Teacher 0.8FTE, Maternity Cover job summary
Plymouth CAST is seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher to work mainly at St Boniface’s Catholic College to cover the current postholder’s absence on maternity leave from January 2020. There will also be opportunity to work at Notre Dame with their MFL team.
Successful candidates will use their application to demonstrate a track record of successful exam outcomes. However, we also welcome applications from NQTs, or RQTs. Candidates will need to be able to show their passion for working with young people and be able to explain how they will embrace and support the school’s ethos.
The successful candidate will teach French. They will contribute to school improvement plans, work hard to help students make good progress and spread a passion for languages. They will also be able to inspire, enthuse, engage, motivate and challenge students to raise achievement at all levels within the school.
St Boniface’s College and Notre Dame are Roman Catholic Comprehensive schools; St Boniface teaches boys from 11 – 16 and Notre Dame teaches girls, but also has a mixed sixth form. Plymouth CAST has a Catholic mission, but you do not need to be a Catholic to apply for this post. We ask that all staff in the Trust support our ethos and Christian attitudes.
