Qualifications

  • Relevant vocational qualification
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Assessor and verifier qualifications

Knowledge/Experience

  • Significant and successful teaching experience in Motor Vehicle with a proven record of success is preferable across all levels.
  • Strong vocational background in a related area
  • Experience of effective team working and effective relationships between staff and students
  • Ability to develop supportive working relationships with parents and other key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment issues and IMI procedures and practices
  • Detailed understanding of curriculum developments and national initiatives in Motor Vehicle
  • Current knowledge of awarding body practices, through up to date training is preferable
  • Knowledge of safeguarding issues
  • Knowledge of equality and diversity issues
