Teacher of Music M1 - M6; £25,714 - £36,961 per annum Part Time or Full Time Starting: August 2022 You will be joining an exciting team of professionals who focus relentlessly on ensuring that students enjoy learning and make outstanding progress. You will be part of a team who have driven significant improvements in students’ progress, as well as extra-curricular participation, and are well placed to go from strength to strength for many years to come. This will be an opportunity for you to join our outstanding, high performing, Arts Faculty and learn from the very best. From September 2022 we are increasing curriculum time so that all students study Music for one hour a week throughout the year. Students can choose to study GCSE Music at Key Stage 4 and in recent years we have seen a significant increase in the number of students doing so. We also offer A-Level Music at Key Stage 5. The department enjoys its own specialist teaching facilities and practice rooms. We are looking for someone who can teach all aspects of the Music Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. There may also be the opportunity for the successful candidate to teach A-Level at some point in the future. This post is suitable for Early Career Teachers. As a lead partner in the East Midlands Teacher Training Partnership, and an early adopter of the Early Career Framework, we are well placed to support teachers at the start of their career. However, we will also consider applications from experienced or Early Career Teachers who would like to work on a part-time contract (0.6 or above) A key element of the role of the successful candidate will be to work with the Music Subject Performance Leader to put in place and lead on a wide range of extra-curricular Music opportunities across the school. Our students benefit from these opportunities to learn an instrument and perform in front of variety of audiences and the successful candidate will be given sufficient time to run these opportunities.
