What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a passionate musician and educator who wants to help children discover their talents and have fun along the way? Stebon and Bygrove Primary Schools are two officially ‘Outstanding’ schools within the LETTA Trust, serving a vibrant, multicultural, and predominantly Bangladeshi community near Canary Wharf. We are looking for an exceptional, passionate Music Teacher to bring melody and creativity to our classrooms. Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. They are happy, friendly, love learning, and achieve results well above the national average—and they do it all with smiles on their faces. The successful candidate will work across both schools.

We are looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humour. Whether you are an experienced qualified teacher or a talented unqualified music specialist, if you want to inspire children to believe learning can take them anywhere, we want to hear from you.

What the school offers its staff

When you join our team, you join a school that aims high and understands that relationships underpin all success. As a creative professional, you will benefit from:

  • Outstanding Environments: You will teach in bright, spacious, and comfortable learning spaces within a new building that sets the national standard for energy-efficiency and sustainability.
  • A Culture of Excellence: Our leaders have the highest expectations, our curriculum is highly ambitious, and our teachers are truly passionate about the subjects they teach.
  • Creative Autonomy & Support: We want someone who is keen to improve their practice and enjoys autonomy in their teaching.
  • Top-Tier Compensation: We offer pay ranges in line with the best in the borough
  • Exceptional CPD: You will receive regular 1:1 coaching and mentoring, alongside professional development and career progression opportunities through the LETTA Teaching School Alliance.
