Part time: 8.40 – 15.20 Monday to Friday (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break) 30 hours 50 minutes per week Actual pay £18,149 - £19,156 38.00 working weeks per year plus 5.7 to 6.69 paid holiday (depending on Wiltshire Schools’ continuous service). You are required to work throughout the school term time.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a caring, flexible, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join us and make a real difference to children’s lives.

This is a job working with a child working in reception within a friendly, supportive and communicative team in a school that has a good reputation for SEN provision.

You will be based in class supporting a child that has speech and language difficulties who needs support with communication and learning. The job will involve some intimate care. The job will be working morning and afternoons in class and supporting 30 minutes at lunch time.

  • Is confident working 1:1, in small groups, and within a whole-class setting.
  • Can work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and colleagues to support learning and behaviour.
  • Brings warmth, patience, and resilience to the role.
  • Builds strong, positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Promotes self-esteem, inclusion, and emotional development.
