What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our supportive team.

This afternoon-based role supports several pupils in our Early Years Foundation Stage classroom. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to ensure all children receive the help they need to access learning and grow in confidence.

There may be times when you’ll be asked to support other children across the year group, especially when named pupils are absent or working independently. Flexibility and a team spirit are essential.

Is confident working 1:1, with small groups, and within the wider class context.
Can collaborate closely with colleagues, the SENDCo, and class teachers to develop individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Is flexible, motivated, and responsive to a wide range of learning needs.
Supports children's self-esteem, inclusion, and emotional development.
Builds positive relationships with both children and parents, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Brings warmth, resilience, and a nurturing presence to the classroom.
