Working pattern

Part time: 08:40 -12.30 Monday to Friday (19hrs 10minutes a week) 38.00 working weeks per year plus 5.7 to 6.69 paid holiday (depending on Wiltshire Schools’ continuous service). You are required to work throughout the school term time.

Contract type

Fixed term - Specific Purpose - This is a temporary contract, linked to individual pupil funding or the pupil remaining on roll. The contract will end if either condition changes.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a caring, flexible, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join us and make a real difference to children’s lives.

This is a job working with a child working in KS2 within a friendly, supportive and communicative team in a school that has a good reputation for SEN provision.

You will be based in class supporting a child that who needs support with communication and language, social, emotional and behavioural needs and accessing the KS2 Curriculum. The job will be working mornings in class and providing support at lunch time.

  • Is confident working 1:1, in small groups, and within a whole-class setting.
  • Can work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and colleagues to support learning and behaviour.
  • Brings warmth, patience, and resilience to the role.
  • Builds strong, positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Promotes self-esteem, inclusion, and emotional development.
