This is a great opportunity to come and join the team on a casual basis at our ‘Outstanding’ rated nursery in Cromer (Ofsted November 2022). If you are interested and wonder if this could be for you we would love you to get in touch and come and visit us so you can see our Nursery ‘in action’.

We are looking for a passionate, kind, ambitious and enthusiastic individuals to join our team at Suffield Park Nursery in Cromer, starting as soon as possible. We would like to hear from individuals who would like to work on a flexible basis covering staff absence eg. due to illness, training, annual leave. We are open for 48 weeks of the year, 8am-5.30pm daily, providing staff with lots of opportunities to pick up additional hours if desired. 

We have four Nursery rooms; The Rock Pool for children under 2 years, The Coral Reef for children under 3 years and The Deep Blue Sea and The Lagoon for 3-4 year olds. We are fortunate to have fantastic outdoor learning environment including onsite woodland, adventure playground and library which are used regularly.

 We would like to hear from applicants who hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or above, we will also consider applicants holding a relevant Level 2 qualification or those currently working towards or hoping to gain a relevant qualification. Successful candidates holding a Level 3 qualification will be paid at Scale D (£13.23-£13.47 per hour) and those holding a Level 2 qualification or unqualified will be paid at Scale C (£13.05 per hour).

 Ensuring the very best outcomes for all children at Suffield Park Nursery is our priority and the staff team are committed to ensuring that they have a happy and inspiring experience with us. The motivation and ability to work as part of a professional, successful and friendly staff team to improve outcomes for children and their families is essential. Knowledge and experience of using ‘Tapestry’ and working with children with SEND would be extremely beneficial.

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
