Holgate Primary & Nursery School is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and hard-working Nursery Assistant to support teaching and learning and child development in the Early Years classrooms to maximise the participation of our children.

We are looking for someone to join our EYFS team, working alongside other teaching assistants and class teachers in the planning of work and activities for individuals and groups of children in Early Years. You will be delivering educational activities that support children in their development and aiding pupils with their education, health and special educational needs.
We are looking for a teaching assistant who will:
• be creative in your approach to learning and delivering the curriculum;
• possess and use appropriate skills to undertake those activities necessary to meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of individuals and groups of children, including those with special needs
• have high expectations of pupils’ achievements and a commitment to excellent standards;
• be enthusiastic, energetic and committed to making learning exciting;
• have excellent communication skills with children and adults
Applicants are expected to have a Level 3 TA qualification. However, we also encourage candidates with a Level 2 qualification who are motivated to progress and obtain their Level 3. We are a large secondary academy for students aged 11-16 years based in Hucknall and, together with our partner academies, offer post 16 study at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre.
