Nursery Assistant job summary
Woodfield Nursery is
seeking to appoint a Nursery Assistant to work in our Nursery setting.
Woodfield Nursery is a high-quality Early Years provision supporting children
from 2-4 years old.
Candidates should have an
NVQ2 in Childcare or equivalent plus a good understanding of child development
and early language acquisition. They must be a good team player who is willing
to work within a research led, reflective nursery with the child at the heart
of the practice.
Applicants will:
· Care for and support our children,
providing a nurturing and safe environment.
· Have a good understanding of child
development and early language acquisition
· Be a good team player
· Have the ability to develop
positive behaviour strategies with children.
The role will include
intimate care of children in the nursery provision.
We are keen to meet
candidates who are experienced and interested in working to support children to
achieve their full potential. They must
understand the importance of using a relational approach in the provision.
The successful candidate
will have:
· Experience of working within a
nursery provision, with a working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
· Excellent communication skills
· A passion for their work and
supporting children
· GCSEs Maths and English C and
above or equivalent, and be able to illustrate good literacy and numeracy
skills
· NVQ2/3 or equivalent qualification
or be working towards the qualification
