What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Nursery Teacher who is passionate about giving children the very best start to their educational journey.

At Chase Bridge, we believe the early years are fundamental in shaping children’s confidence, curiosity and lifelong love of learning. We are looking for an accomplished Early Years practitioner with a clear vision for excellent practice, who can create a nurturing, stimulating and ambitious learning environment where every child feels valued, develops independence and is encouraged to flourish.

The successful candidate will be committed to securing the very best outcomes for our youngest learners, raising standards and working in partnership with families and colleagues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a genuine passion for early childhood development, are essential.

We asked our children what they would like in a teacher, and they told us they want someone who:

  • understands them as individuals and listens to everyone;
  • makes learning enjoyable;
  • boosts their confidence;
  • encourages them and is approachable; and
  • explains things clearly and helps them to succeed.

If you are an experienced Nursery Teacher who shares our vision and would love to make a lasting difference at the very start of children’s school lives, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Please refer to the accompanying person specification and job description for further details.

  • a parent community who are engaged and supportive of the school and their child’s education;
  • a well-resourced school set in extensive grounds as well as on site car parking available for the convenience of our staff; and
  • access to the Westfield Health Cover and Teacher Pension Scheme.

Our vision at Chase Bridge is for all children to excel at learning, express their talents and care for others. We are a thriving, multi-award winning, three form entry Community Primary and Nursery School in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames situated next to the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham with onsite parking.

We provide a learning environment where children feel secure, are confident and at the same time, challenged to explore and understand the world around them. Our aim is for the children to achieve their full potential; be safe and happy; develop a love of learning; and the skills of independence to make informed choices.

We place huge importance on the emotional wellbeing of our staff, children and our wider community. Having achieved our Attachment Aware Schools Award, we take great pride in our appointed role as MHST Cluster Lead where we work in partnership with primary, secondary and special schools from across Richmond impacting over 7000 children and staff.

In March 2025, we were judged as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted:

Quality of education: Outstanding
Behaviour and attitudes: Outstanding
Personal development: Outstanding
Leadership and management: Outstanding
Early years provision: Outstanding

The inspection report captures the heart of what makes Chase Bridge exceptional: “Pupils work together to fulfil the school’s vision to ‘be ready, be safe, be respectful’. Pupils demonstrate excellent behaviour and delight in supporting each other.” Our children thrive not just academically, but also personally and socially, benefiting from a wealth
of extracurricular and leadership opportunities, including clubs in chess, coding, magic and music, as well as involvement in ambassador roles across the school.

Our school community is vibrant and diverse, united by a shared ethos of Caring for Others, Nurturing Talents and Excelling at Learning. These core values shape every aspect of school life.
