What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking applications from successful nursery teachers and Early Career Teachers. However, we will also consider applications from those with experience in teaching – or who have trained to teach – in reception. The successful applicant will hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS). The school has a strong track record of successfully supporting Early Career Teachers through their induction period.
Candidates will be confident and passionate teachers and people who demonstrate high expectations, a flexible and resilient attitude to challenge and a commitment to providing the highest quality learning opportunities which support the education of the whole child.

Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre provides an innovative education to 3 to 7 years olds in the east of Luton, close to the Hertfordshire border. We are an oversubscribed and successful two form entry infant school admitting 60 children per year. We are extremely well-resourced and keep children at the centre of everything we do. Our pupils are extremely keen to learn and participate and we teach a rich and challenging curriculum that is constantly evolving.
