Nursery Practitioner job summary


Axminster Primary is looking for a Nursery Practitioner, we are an inclusive and nurturing community primary school for children aged 2-11 years.  We offer a high-quality, engaging curriculum enhanced by a range of stimulating and enriching experiences. 


The role is fixed term until 31st August 2026.


The successful candidate must have an approved Early Years Level 3 certification.

The role will require you to:

·       provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting. 

·       work as part of a team, alongside the nursery and EYFS Leaders, in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn. 

·       build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.

·     The role includes an aspect of mealtime assistant duties.

·     This role includes an additional 3 afternoons per week within the after school club responsible for up to 5 nursery children.


Working hours are: 2 days per week (Tues and Thurs) 8.45am - 3.45pm and 3 days per week (Mon, Weds, Fri) 8.45am - 5.30pm.
