Nursery Practitioner job summary

Oakwood Primary Academy is looking to recruit a qualified, enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. This is a 10-hour per week role, working Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 1.30pm, with flexible opportunities for further working hours (mainly on Mondays). This role will be on a fixed-term, part-time, term-time only basis, to fit with the smooth running of our nursery day.

As a nursery practitioner, you will help to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where our children can learn, play, and develop. You will support children with their individual needs, encourage positive relationships and work closely with colleagues to ensure every child feels happy, valued and supported. This particular role will be integral to happy fulfilling lunch time provision and learning through play opportunities too.

you hold a full and relevant minimum level 2 early years qualification

you have experience working with nursery or early years aged children

you are caring, patient and enthusiastic about supporting young children

you understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing

you enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
