Are you a passionate and dedicated early years professional looking to take the next step in your career? Salfords Primary School is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to oversee the development and daily management of our nurturing and engaging nursery environment.

Your Opportunity

In this key role, you will ensure that children aged 2-5 thrive in a safe, caring, and stimulating setting, while building strong partnerships with parents, carers, and professionals. If you are committed to delivering high-quality teaching, implementing best practices, and fostering a love of learning, we would love to hear from you!

What we're looking for:

  • Early Years Level 3 qualification
  • GCSE grade ‘C’ or above in Maths and English
  • Current paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • Up to date safeguarding training
  • Strong teaching experience in Early Years with a clear understanding of current pedagogy
  • Experience working in a nursery or school setting
  • Experience managing and working within a team
  • Ability to establish and communicate clear standards and expectations
  • Ability to manage and develop resources to support child development
  • High standard of written and oral communication
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and statutory requirements
  • Good understanding of The Children Act, EYFS Welfare Requirements, and KCSIE
  • Ability to design interactive, engaging sessions for all learning needs
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Trustworthy, approachable, and passionate about changing children’s lives

Salary: GLF Associate 3, Point 4 (£24,934) to Point 16 (£27,586), dependent on experience.

Actual Salary: £21,450 to £23,732 (dependent on experience)
