What skills and experience we're looking for
Our nursery teacher is moving on to pastures new. Having successfully established a thriving 30-hour nursery class we are looking for the right person to continue to maintain and further develop a key year group in our school. Our nursery classroom is well resourced, and we have recently made a significant investment in our outdoor area. Our new equipment means our children can play creatively outdoors as well as develop their physical skills and upper body strength. Our nursery is very much part of the Eastbury Farm community and children frequently access other parts of the school, including our lovely library which is at the heart of our building. PPA is organised so both reception teachers are on PPA at the same time as the Nursery teacher. The Early Years work as a team and our new nursery teacher will be well supported in delivering our EYFS curriculum. We have extensive grounds and our own Forest School area which is well used by our youngest children.
What the school offers its staff
Eastbury Farm is wonderful place to work with a strong focus on staff wellbeing, including access to a wellbeing service. Workload considerations are a priority. SLT decisions are made with work-life balance at the fore. We invest in our staff and work with individuals to support career development and progression – whether this is through external training or opportunities to learn from other experienced members of staff.
Our staffroom is the social centre of our school with tea, coffee and biscuits being provided. Our children are delightful, our last OFSTED identified Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare as outstanding. This remains the case as noted by our School Improvement Advisor in their latest report. We would encourage any potential applicant to come and meet the headteacher and our current nursery teacher and see for yourself.
Commitment to safeguarding
Eastbury Farm Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check as well as other pre-appointment checks, including an online check, as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024).
To help us meet our high standards and aspirations of a fully diverse and inclusive workplace, we strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds to apply and to join us.

Eastbury Farm Primary School is a 1.5 form entry school in Northwood. We fall under the local authority of Hertfordshire (London Fringe area) but border the borough of Hillingdon (Outer London area). The school is made up of a 30 hours nursery class, two reception classes and then three mixed classes per key stage: 3x Y1/2 classes in KS1, 3x Y3/4 classes in lower KS2 and 3x Y5/6 classes in upper KS2.
We are a happy, caring school which is, at the same time, dynamic and forward thinking. We teach children ‘how to learn' and our curriculum is designed to place learning firmly at the centre of all we do. We are very proud of our achievements. Eastbury Farm Primary School provides an interesting and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to become independent and confident. Our aim is to enable every child to achieve as highly as possible. We believe that only by working together can parents and the school ensure the best for our children. Our policies are based on equal opportunities for all.
