What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a skilled EYFS practitioner who:
- Has a strong understanding of child development and effective Early Years practice
- Can plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences
- Has excellent knowledge of the EYFS Framework and Development Matters/Strong Foundations
- Works effectively as part of a team
- Has high expectations for all children
- Is reflective, ambitious and committed to continual professional development
- Can work collaboratively with support staff to plan, deliver and evaluate provision
- Has experience of supporting children with SEND (desirable).

Required from September 2026, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and caring Nursery Teacher to join our vibrant Early Years team at St Peter’s C of E Primary School.
Part of the Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust, St Peter’s is a thriving one-form entry inner-city school serving a richly diverse and multicultural community. Many of our pupils speak English as an additional language and flourish within our language-rich, nurturing environment.
Despite the challenges of deprivation faced by many families, our pupils achieve strong outcomes and are enthusiastic, confident learners.
Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust (LDLT) was founded in September 2022 with the aim of bringing together schools sharing our vision of full flourishing through loving, living and learning together.
The Trust has grown rapidly to 14 schools. Our schools are in Craven, Leeds and Ripon, all within the Primary phase. The Trust will seek to grow in these three specific geographies over the next five years.
LDLT schools maintain their unique character whilst benefitting from strong and dynamic collaboration across the schools in the Trust.
LDLT is explicitly Church of England in its articulation, yet fully inclusive.
