What skills and experience we're looking for

A QTS-qualified teacher who truly values the importance of nursery education.

  • Someone who is playful, warm and fun, with a genuine love for children and a strong belief in their capabilities.
  • A teacher who can bring stories to life, sparking imagination and a lifelong love of reading.
  • A friendly and approachable colleague who is happy to work in partnership with parents.
  • An advocate for childhood who understands how young children learn and can adapt to meet their ever-changing needs.
  • A proud member of a professional community, committed to working collaboratively within the Lincolnshire Maintained Nursery School Federation and Greater Lincolnshire Stronger Practice Hub.

Do you believe in the magic of nursery years and the power of play to shape little minds and big hearts? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

At Wyndham Park Nursery School, we are proud to be part of a family of maintained nursery schools across the county, working together to champion high-quality early education. We are looking for a flexible, adaptable and smiley teacher who can bring joy and creativity to our youngest learners every single day.

We welcome teachers at every stage of their career who share our values, care deeply about children and believe in the power of nursery education.

A varied and responsive teaching role

We continually review how our teachers work to ensure their roles meet the changing needs of our children and families. At times, you may work directly with one class and take responsibility for its teaching and learning. At other times, you may oversee provision and support for a particular group, such as vulnerable children, or work across all nursery classes to support and develop colleagues’ practice. This is a varied and interesting role that evolves with the nursery, offering different ways to make a difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

SENDCo opportunity

Ideally, we would appoint a teacher who would also take on the role of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo). We welcome applicants who already hold a SENDCo qualification, as well as teachers interested in developing this area of their practice. We are happy to support the right person to gain the relevant qualification and develop into this part of the role. SENDCo responsibility is an opportunity for the right candidate and is not essential for every applicant. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) payment will be awarded to the teacher undertaking the SENDCo role.

What the school offers its staff

We offer a supportive and inspiring environment, where your contribution is genuinely valued and where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

Flexible working and job share

This is one full-time teaching post. We welcome full-time applications and applications from teachers wishing to work part time. Two part-time teachers could share the post, with their hours together making up one full-time role. You can apply individually for a part-time share; you do not need to have a job-share partner. The division of teaching hours and any SENDCo responsibility would be agreed with the successful candidate or candidates.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Application details are available on our website www.wyndhampark.lincs.sch.uk

Further information about the job

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
Visas cannot be sponsored.
If you're interested in teaching or training to teach in England as an international citizen, we can help you understand your next steps.

Please make the following clear in your application

  • Whether you would be willing to take on SENDCo responsibility, including any relevant qualification or your interest in completing this with our support.
  • Whether you are applying for full-time or part-time employment.
  • If applying part time, the hours or proportion of the post you would like and any preference for how these are split across the week, such as particular days, mornings or afternoons. Please also tell us how flexible you can be.

Please email completed applications to enquiries@wyndhampark.lincs.sch.uk
