Nursery Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary

Bridge Learning Campus currently have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, enthusiastic and supportive colleague to join our thriving and vibrant Nursery and team. Key responsibilities:

  • Support children in Nursery
  • Work with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources  
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all learners  
  • Create opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability  

Job Purpose:

To work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff to assist with teaching and learning and associated activities. This may include: assisting with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities; supporting of whole class; working with individuals and small groups of pupils.  

Job requirements

  • Two years’ experience in a learning or childcare setting or another relevant field
  • 5 GCSE's at Grade C/Level 4 or above or equivalent including Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent i.e A Levels
  • Communication skills to promote and develop effective working with children, colleagues and carers/agencies at an appropriate level to achieve understanding and constructive response
  • Commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of all children
  • Understanding of how different children develop and learn and the experience to identify and apply appropriate processes to achieve progression
  • Ability to enthuse, inspire and motive children
