What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and conscientious class teacher, to teach and support a nurture group in our HUB provision, with their academic, social, emotional, and personal development, in a way that is accessible and inclusive. The HUB is a learning environment for pupils with a complex presentation of ASC (and associated conditions) and complex learning difficulties, who require a high level of support and benefit from accessing an individualised curriculum that prioritises the development of communication, social and independence skills. Pupils within the HUB have a range of complex communication needs.

Castle Hill High School is a special school for students, aged 11 – 18, with significant and complex needs. We currently have 340 students on roll. Our most recent Ofsted inspection, judged the school to be Outstanding. All students enjoy equality of opportunity, regardless of gender, race, ability, social background etc. Our aim is to provide an education which is relevant and worthwhile, preparing our students for the world of work and ensuring that they leave us as caring young adults who have developed positive attitudes and values and are respectful of
others.
All students at Castle Hill have Education Health and Care Plans. Students’ specific needs include: communication and social interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder.
