What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a committed and resilient Nurture Teacher who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs to achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role within the Transition Department, delivering high-quality, personalised teaching in a structured and nurturing environment. You will be instrumental in driving student progress, supporting both academic and personal development, and fostering confidence, resilience and positive engagement with learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of all learners.
Take responsibility for raising student progress and achievement, tracking out comes and implementing targeted interventions.
Create and maintain a safe, structured and nurturing environment that supports wellbeing, behaviour and engagement.
Contribute to the development and delivery of a broad, balanced and appropriately differentiated curriculum.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals while modelling high standards of professionalism.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant teaching qualification.
Experience working with students with SEMH needs and managing challenging behaviour effectively.
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies, nurture principles and behaviour management approaches.
Ability to plan, deliver and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and support student progress.
Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
