We are seeking a highly organised, versatile, and proactive Office Manager to join our dedicated team.
The Role
This is a pivotal role combining general school administration with vital human resources support. You will keep our school running efficiently by managing school reception, handling day-to-day administrative tasks, and coordinating core HR processes. As we are currently transitioning our data systems from SIMS to Arbor, confidence with IT and an adaptable mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage school reception, welcoming visitors, parents, and pupils with a warm, professional manner.
- Coordinate school HR processes, including staff onboarding, maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR), and processing pre-employment checks.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records, supporting our ongoing transition from SIMS to Arbor.
- Handle daily communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing parent communication platforms.
- Support school leadership with confidential HR administration, recording staff absences, and preparing basic personnel documentation.
About You
- Experienced in administration, ideally with a background or strong understanding of HR processes and compliance.
- A confident IT user, with experience in school management systems (experience with SIMS or Arbor is highly advantageous).
- Highly organized and discreet, with an ability to manage confidential data and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- An exceptional communicator who can interact positively with children, parents, colleagues, and external visitors.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
What We Offer
- A supportive, friendly, and collaborative working environment.
- Comprehensive training and support, particularly during our system migration to Arbor.
- Excellent work-life balance with a term-time plus 3 weeks working pattern.
- A generous local government pension scheme.
