We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and proactive Office Manager to join the team at King’s Leadership Academy Bolton.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing an exceptional administrative service and who can lead a busy school office with professionalism, efficiency and warmth. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Academy, ensuring that our students, families, staff, visitors and external partners receive a consistently high standard of support.

At King's Bolton, our administrative team is central to the smooth and effective running of the Academy. As Office Manager, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day office function, ensuring that systems, communication, records and administrative processes are organised, accurate and responsive to the needs of the school.

You will need to be confident managing competing priorities, supporting and developing colleagues, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and responding calmly and professionally to the demands of a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the effective day-to-day running of the Academy office and administrative function.
  • Provide leadership, support and direction to members of the administrative team, ensuring high standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Ensure students, parents, carers, staff, visitors and external agencies receive a welcoming, efficient and professional service.
  • Coordinate and oversee Academy correspondence, telephone calls, emails, general enquiries and administrative processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure information is managed securely and in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including interview arrangements, new starter administration and relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate administrative arrangements for Academy events, meetings, parents' evenings, trips and other key activities.
  • Ensure Reception and office functions are appropriately organised and staffed, arranging cover where required.
  • Support the effective use of Academy systems and identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working.
  • Monitor administrative deadlines and ensure essential tasks are completed accurately and within required timescales.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager, senior leaders and colleagues across the Academy to support wider operational priorities.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional conduct at all times.
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role, as directed by the Principal or senior leaders.
