What skills and experience we're looking for

The role plays a key part in ensuring the school operates efficiently and sustainably, enabling staff to focus on delivering excellent education for the pupils.

  • Manage the day-to-day office administrative functions
  • Operational responsibilities across HR management and procedures
  • Manage the booking and records of staff CPD
  • Responsibility for maintaining the Single Central Record
  • System lead for key systems e.g. MIS
  • Manage and develop office team
  • Oversight of the SEN administrative process
  • Responsible for the coordination and submission of Workforce and School census

You will have:

  • Experience of working in a busy and pressurised administrative environment (preferably within a school setting)
  • Experience of HR management and procedures
  • Experience of supporting and leading office staff effectively, modelling professionalism and teamwork
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Experience of developing and continually improving effective administrative systems and procedures
  • High levels of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail whilst maintaining professional integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Confident use of IT systems, including Microsoft 365
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

Westfield School is a primary aged special school for children who experience Communication and Interaction difficulties within the moderate learning difficulties range.
