Office Support Assistant job summary

The Institute of Education is seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Support Assistant to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this varied role, you will provide essential administrative and event support, acting as the first point of contact for schools and staff, managing communications, maintaining records and databases, and preparing venues and materials to ensure our events and training programmes run smoothly.

You will play a vital role in supporting the wider work of the IoE—collating feedback and attendance data, updating online resources, and working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services to schools.

We are looking for someone with strong communication and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience in administration. Confidence with ICT systems, the ability to prioritise, and a team-focused approach are essential.

Actual Salary: £12,591 - £13,204 – Pay Award Pending

Working hours: 2.5 days per week, ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (however some flexibility)

Contract type: FTC for 6 months
