Operations Assistant job summary
Key Responsibilities
Operations Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation
- Support the management of approved supplier registers
- Take minutes at key meetings (e.g. Estates and Health & Safety)
- Respond to operational queries from school staff
- Support procurement of IT, furniture, and equipment (non-curriculum)
- Maintain Trust contracts and inventory registers
Lettings Management
- Coordinate the Trust’s lettings function
- Show prospective hirers around the premises
- Onboard and vet new hirers
- Manage agreements, invoicing, and payments
- Respond to lettings queries
Fleet Administration
- Coordinate MOTs, servicing, and compliance checks
- Carry out DVLA and licence checks
- Liaise with leasing companies and manage contracts
- Ensure appropriate insurance and regulatory compliance
General Administration
- Support purchase orders and invoice processing
- Assist with policy administration and website uploads
- Provide flexible administrative support to the Central Team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Has confident communication and interpersonal skills
- Is proactive, flexible, and able to manage a varied workload
- Is comfortable working with systems, data, and processes
- Can work independently and as part of a team
Experience in administration, operations, or a school/Trust environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
