Operations Manager
Location: Broadleaf Partnership Trust Schools
Salary: Grade 4 | Full-time (36.5 hours per week, full year)

Do you thrive in a role that combines facilities management, health & safety, and leadership? Broadleaf Partnership Trust is seeking an Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and take responsibility for the smooth running of all our school sites. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in the development and delivery of our Estates Strategy while ensuring our schools provide safe, inspiring spaces for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Oversee security, cleanliness, and upkeep of school buildings and grounds, manage lettings, and monitor maintenance work and contractors.
Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety procedures, conduct site inspections, and manage risk assessments and statutory checks (e.g., fire safety, asbestos, legionella).
Energy & Utilities: Monitor energy usage and support sustainability initiatives to reduce consumption.
Staff & Contractor Management: Lead and develop the site team, manage external service providers, and oversee staff training and performance.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Background in estates management or facilities services, with a strong understanding of health & safety legislation. Experience of working in the education sector is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage contractors, and handle multiple priorities.
Qualifications: NEBOSH, COSHH, and IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) preferred, but not essential.
Commitment to Safeguarding: A strong focus on the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
