Operations Manager
Connect Multi‑Academy Trust - North Durham Academy, Stanley
Salary: Support Staff Grade 8
Connect Multi‑Academy Trust is looking for a proactive, experienced Operations Manager to lead on Estates, Health & Safety and Facilities functions across all our Trust sites (3 secondary schools and 5 primary schools).
What you’ll do:
- Lead and support Site Teams across the Trust
- Manage the Facilities Service Desk and ensure KPIs are met
- Oversee PPM schedules and statutory compliance
- Lead capital projects from scope to delivery
- Act as Health & Safety Lead, including risk assessments and training
- Manage catering, cleaning and transport contracts
- Oversee site security, CCTV, access control and emergency response
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in estates/facilities management
- Strong project management and contractor‑management skills
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations
- Great communication, organisation and IT skills
- A solutions‑focused, resilient approach
Desirable: NEBOSH/IOSH, PRINCE2, education‑sector experience.

Connect Multi-Academy Trust is legally obligated to process a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before making appointments to relevant posts. Please note that we operate a probationary period of 6 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
